If there is no separation from ungodly fellowship, it can defile your sole, ultimately defile your body and dull your sensitivity or walk with God. The direction of the Lord that you do no act upon is the miracle you do not see.
Even though Paul had apostolic authority in the church, he wanted the church to understand the true authority that God had ordained and established. He used the customs and symbolic things of his day to reveal true authority that God had ordained in the lives of believers.
